What you see “” It is hard for passersby to overlook the Pantaloons store in Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad. The Law Garden street where Pantaloons is located is a shopping hub accommodating some of the city”s major shopping centers. Outside the store, in one corner you will find hawkers selling chaat such as sev puri, pani puri and dahi puri to tired and weary shoppers. Inside, store assistants are seen assisting people in every nook and corner.
What you get “” Pantaloons is a two building store offering clothes and accessories for men, women and kids. One stocks western casuals and party wear for women and men and the other has women”s ethnic wear and kids” wear.
Right near the entrance you will see women”s party wear from the label “Honey”. Lot of blacks and blues are seen in this section. We also see some beautiful and delicate white tops, dazzling yet sophisticated. Long tops are there as well with leggings to pair with. For casual T-shirts and tops, check out UMM or Rig”s collection. UMM has some cool printed tees with catchy words. Rig has simple shirts, tunics and tops in pastel colors. Likewise, there is Annabelle and Bare where you will find slub tops, ruched tops and skin hugging dresses for evening wear. Collared T-shirts in cool colors are there too. For simple T-shirts in plain colors and jeans, go for Bare.
Pantaloons also offers track pants, beautiful short skirts, trousers, capris and shorts. In accessories, they have a wide collection of large earrings, necklaces, bangles and so on. Tote bags, hobo bags, shoulder bags and across the body bags are there to pick from.
Climb up the stairs and you will reach the upper floor dedicated to men”s wear. Formal shirts in big and small checks, plain ones in pastel hues, full sleeves and half sleeves are available in unusual colors. Their collection also includes shirts with bling for party wear. Printed T-shirts, collared T-shirts and polo neck T-shirts in full sleeves are also there. Men”s casual and formal trousers are available in corduroys and cotton. Men”s sports wear section has track pants, shorts, sports T-shirts and so on. The store also stocks seasonal wear like sweaters and sweatshirts. In addition, they have sports shoes, floaters and chappals in bright greens, reds and blues.
In women”s ethnic wear, pintuck kurtas in a variety of colors and necklines, short kurtis, embroidered kurtis, ethnic bottoms such as patiala salwars and dupattas and stretchable churidars are on sale. For kids, Pantaloons has printed T-shirts, skirts and cute little tops. Kids” T-shirts carry cool messages and prints. A small counter has been dedicated to soft toys.
Our verdict “” The entire collection may not be good here but if you are patient enough to rummage through it, you will end up buying something at Pantaloons. Prices are little over the top but if you go there during their sale period, you can manage to get some real good stuff at very affordable prices. Ample parking space is available in the premises of Pantaloons. The store attracts a lot of customers for its seasonal sales and discounts.
